 1. Overview

STV Media information system (hereinafter referred to as MIS) allows operators to broadcast multi-media information safely, efficiently, accurately and rapidly on all channels, at any time and covering all possible users. Operators can carry out operation advertising, information advertising and other types of profitable value-added service products.

 

2. Value

1. The system was created for broadcasting operator’s advertisement and other multimedia value-added services, providing broadcasting operators an advanced technical platform to start advertising business operations immediately. 
2. Content includes video, audio, text, images, animation and the combination of multimedia information. Having abundant expression effects, the system can maximize the use of multimedia resources to provide operators a new and effective revenue model. 
3. By releasing advertisement designed for the audience at regular times, it can improve user experience and guide the user consumption of value-added service products, which will create a win-win situation for operators and users.

3. Description

1. Solution:
STV MIS consists of two parts, head-end system and terminal software module.
Head-end system includes business editing subsystem, dispatching subsystem, application subsystems and video broadcasting subsystem. Terminal software module is responsible for advertising data receiving and rendering.

 1. Nanjing broadcaster

Nanjing Broadcaster has 5 districts. The booting advertisement should be broadcast from a centralized console, and other services (including EPG advertisement, scroll caption, bubble corner advertisement, point-to-point information, directional display information, etc.) are controlled by each district (including making, checking, and broadcasting).

2. Guangdong project
12 cities launched their advertisement at the same time on the Guangdong HD interactive project. This gave every city independent control of their advertisement service, while still allowing the center console to have overall control of advertisement across the network.

3. Guizhou project
9 cities launched advertisement services at the same time in Guizhou province. In this project, we ensured that some advertisement services were operated uniformly. Each city could also operate their advertisement services such as EPG advertisement, scroll caption, bubble corner advertisement. This project supported center controlled uniform booting advertisement, and EPG advertisement for all 9 cities.
